Shipping Policy

Soller Composites, LLC – We only charge our customers our actual shipping costs.

How We Ship

We usually ship via USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx inside the continental USA. We may use other carriers upon customer request.

We don’t ship Parcel Post (inside the USA) or Surface Mail (outside the USA) unless specifically requested by the customer. These methods often take weeks to deliver.

For freight (large shipments on pallets), we have contracts with 8 freight carriers and typically choose the cheapest option unless otherwise requested. We are a daily pickup location for UPS and USPS. If you choose another carrier, it may take an extra day for pickup.

If you have an account with a carrier and want us to bill directly to your account, we are happy to accommodate this!

We always email tracking information from the shipping carrier. If you don’t receive it, we likely have an incorrect email address on file—please email us and we’ll forward it promptly.

USA Insured Packages & Confirmation

We generally insure all shipments to the actual cost paid unless you request otherwise. Note: FedEx and UPS shipments are insured up to $100.00 at no extra cost.

If a shipment is split into multiple boxes or uses different carriers, each box’s contents will be fully insured unless you specify differently.

All packages inside the USA include Delivery Confirmation (free via our USPS contract and standard with UPS). We email tracking and delivery confirmation as soon as your package ships.

Signature Confirmation: All shipments valued over $250.00 require signature confirmation (free service for UPS business customers).

Online customers may select Signature Confirmation at checkout for orders under $250.00 (or request it otherwise); our standard policy applies if not selected.

Credit card orders must ship to the credit card billing address or a verified residential/business address of the cardholder.

International Shipping

We ship to countries permitted by USA customs regulations. Brokerage fees, customs duties, import fees, licenses, etc., are the sole responsibility of the buyer and are typically due upon receipt or per your country’s laws.

International insurance may not always be available; we purchase it unless you request otherwise. We do not sell to anyone intending to forward to a prohibited country.

We can arrange international shipments on our carriers’ accounts or yours. If using your carrier (e.g., freight), we require an email from their representative confirming we will not be back-billed.

Shipping to Canada

Most Canadian customers prefer USPS over UPS/FedEx due to significantly lower brokerage fees (vs. customs charges). Note: We only ship epoxy via freight. Orders $20.00 and under are typically not charged customs fees (per our understanding). All actual fees are passed directly to you.

Lost, Damaged, or Stolen Packages

In the unlikely event of loss, damage, or misdelivery due to carrier fault/negligence, coverage follows the carrier’s insurance policy (as determined by their investigation), unless no insurance was requested.

Stolen packages after delivery are not the responsibility of the carrier or Soller Composites, LLC. We strongly recommend Signature Confirmation if theft is a concern.

Soller Composites does not self-insure; we purchase insurance on your behalf if requested. We assist with claims but do not refund/credit simply because a claim is filed. Any recovered funds from claims are forwarded to you immediately.

Under no circumstances is Soller Composites responsible for lost/stolen packages after delivery. Ownership transfers once products leave our facility.

Recommendations & Carrier Responsibilities

We recommend shipping all fabrics via freight to minimize damage risk. While expensive for small/single-roll orders, it helps protect delicate materials (especially ≤6.5 oz/sq yd). Damage can occur if boxes are dropped on end—even with excellent packing. We cannot be held responsible for carrier mishandling (e.g., turning rolls on edge) if freight is not requested.

We are not responsible for delivery issues if you request alternate addresses/locations. Any extra fees for alternate delivery are your responsibility, as we charge only actual shipping costs.

We no longer file claims with USPS for late overnight packages due to ongoing service issues.

Exporting Composite Fabrics

Export of composite fabrics (carbon, fiberglass, Kevlar) is restricted by US federal regulations. Soller Composites does not authorize resale or export without express written permission. Export may be prohibited depending on destination and other factors—contact us for details.

Please do not request shipping to PO boxes or addresses that forward to prohibited countries.

“Soller Composites, LLC” is authorized to ship carbon, fiberglass, basalt & Kevlar in any amount to virtually any country worldwide except: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, & Syria.

If your country is not on this exclusion list, we are very likely authorized to ship (some restrictions may apply—please contact us). We cannot ship to anyone intending to forward to excluded countries and do not authorize resale without written permission to ensure compliance with US export regulations. Thank you!

Internet Sales Tax

We never charge sales tax. The general rules (as of 1/2024, to the best of our understanding) are:

  1. Resellers generally do not pay tax on items purchased for resale (you may need a state tax-exempt certificate—contact your state revenue department).
  2. If making products from our materials, you are generally exempt as they are “raw goods” (confirm with your state).
  3. If you are an end consumer in a state with sales tax, we still do not collect it. We do not exceed economic nexus thresholds in any state, so any use tax owed is between you and your state/town/county.
  4. We are located in New Hampshire, which has no sales tax under any circumstance.
